STOP OVER 1 Berlin, Germany (2024)

House 4, Alte Münze | Interdisciplinary Residency

STOP OVER 1 was a week-long interdisciplinary residency bringing together twenty artists working across visual art, sound, and performance to activate four spaces within House 4 at the Alte Münze.

The residency functioned as an open framework for artistic research and collaborative experimentation. Throughout the week, participants developed temporary constellations of sound, movement, and visual processes, generating spatial situations that moved fluidly between performance, rehearsal, and installation.

Working within a shared environment, artists engaged in improvised and responsive formats where actions unfolded in relation to preceding gestures, materials, and signals. These interactions produced evolving configurations of time-based media and live processes across the building’s four spaces.

STOP OVER 1 forms part of a broader initiative to cultivate experimental artistic practices and interdisciplinary exchange in Berlin, supporting collaborative research, production, and dialogue across fields.
