PingPengPerformances is an interdisciplinary performance ensemble founded in 2018 by Silvia Sauer and Birgit Wieger. Since 2023, the group has operated as a quartet with the participation of Sanja Star and Ulrike Schwarz. The collective develops improvisational works across sound, movement, objects, and media.

The project PAPER fLUX investigates paper as material, document, and system. Through folding, projection, scanning, writing, amplification, and transformation, paper becomes an active component within real-time interaction. Media processes, sound, objects, and movement function as equal agents within a shared improvisational structure.

Each performance unfolds as a unique configuration in which material behavior, sonic action, and media processes interact dynamically. PAPER fLUX explores the tensions between fragility and infrastructure, physical substrate and digital circulation, treating paper as a site of exchange between material presence and mediated transformation.
