FUNKEN × TU Chemnitz / Research Center MAIN

ArtScience · Artistic Research · Interdisciplinary Education | 2025

My work with FUNKEN × TU Chemnitz / MAIN has developed across artistic research, ArtScience collaboration, and interdisciplinary education. During the 2025 residency at the MAIN Research Center, I developed Folding Field through encounters with electromagnetic fields, nanostructured materials, researchers, and laboratory environments. I also worked within the FUNKEN Academy as a mentor for interdisciplinary student groups from art and music universities.

The programme brought artistic and scientific practices into dialogue through laboratory visits, conversations with researchers, experimentation, and making. I supported students in developing artistic responses to scientific phenomena and research contexts, working across sound, image, material, computation, and performance.

My own research during the residency explored how scientific phenomena can be translated across sensory and material systems. This resulted in Folding Field, a wearable audiovisual system connecting electromagnetic field recordings, sound, light, textile, movement, and the body.

The residency also led to the paper Thinking With Science: Artistic Translation as Experimental Material in an ArtScience Residency at MAIN, co-authored with Dr. Thomas Blaudeck and currently in development.

BEST-Sabel Designschule Berlin

Experimental Design · Social Media · Mentoring · Internship Supervision

At BEST-Sabel Designschule Berlin, I teach experimental motion design and socially conscious branding and social media strategies for civic and cultural contexts. I mentor final-year students (Abschlussklassen) and supervise design internships in collaboration with the Illuseum Berlin, focusing on visual communication and optical illusion-based media. I also run annual design practicum programs for second-year students.

SRH University Berlin

Interaction Design · Foundation of Design · Summer School

At SRH University Berlin, I teach Interaction Design and Foundation of Design courses for international students, alongside a Summer School program for visiting art and design students from Shanghai. The work focuses on project-based learning, visual systems, and cross-cultural design processes (2025–2026).

Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility

International Academic Exchange

As part of Erasmus+ Transnational Collaboration and Mobility, I participated in teaching and job-shadowing programs in Naples (Italy) and Tenerife (Spain), focusing on interdisciplinary exchange in art and design education.
