Early Work – Audiovisual Studies & Experimental Graphics

Timeframe: 2017–2018

Before establishing her long-term research frameworks, Sanja Star developed a series of audiovisual experiments focused on motion design, experimental graphics, and temporal abstraction. These works explored visual rhythm, repetition, and the translation between sound, movement, and image, forming the conceptual basis for later system-oriented projects.

Working with motion graphics and conceptual poster formats, the studies investigated how graphic structures can operate across time, rather than as static compositions. This phase established foundational questions concerning perception, spatial translation, and audiovisual correlation.

Selected Works:

Elevens (2017)
A series of experimental motion graphics exploring rhythm, repetition, and visual abstraction through temporal variation and structured animation processes.

OIS (Out In Space) (2018)
A conceptual poster series examining spatial perception and audiovisual translation. The project bridges graphic composition and temporal structure, treating the poster format as a site for dynamic visual experimentation.
