Euclid mission

Video Work (3D Animation with Audio-Reactive System) | 2023

Euclid Mission is a video work inspired by the European Space Agency’s Euclid mission, which investigates dark energy and dark matter. The piece translates this cosmological context into a responsive audiovisual system in which sound transforms visual form.

The sound consists of three fixed low frequencies: 5 Hz, 25 Hz, and 70 Hz. These tones activate changes in motion, light, and spatial structure within the animation.

The visual environment is designed in 3D and composed of abstract cosmic forms, layers of light, and dark spatial elements. The three frequencies produce distinct visual distortions, shaping movement, scale, and depth in specific ways.

The frequencies 5 Hz, 25 Hz, and 70 Hz are conceptually aligned with the widely accepted cosmological proportions of the universe’s mass–energy content — approximately 5% ordinary matter, 25% dark matter, and 70% dark energy, as described in the Lambda–Cold Dark Matter (ΛCDM) model. In this work, these values function as compositional parameters within the audiovisual system. They structure how sound influences visual transformation rather than representing scientific simulations.
